DEACONESS MINISTRY
This group of respected disciplined ladies assist the Pastor by working with the Deacons ministering to troubled members (e.g., hospitalized, bereavement, nursing home, homebound, etc.), assisting with worship affairs (e.g., ordinances, Holy Communion, Baptism, etc.), managing repasts, and giving informal advice. Meeting Information: Every 4th Monday at 6:30 p.m.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY
We desire to inform members of ways to promote healthy living. We believe our bodies are the temple of God and that we are to engage in activity that will lead to improvement in stewardship of our God given bodies. We provide knowledge about physical, spiritual and emotional health through workshops, awareness blurbs, information sessions, classes, etc.

HUMANITARIANS
We believe you never stop growing in your relationship with God and with others. This ministry is for seniors who have a zeal for life. We enjoy Christian fellowship and social outings. We also provide information sessions and opportunities for seniors to improve their lifestyle and health.

The mission of the Sanctuary Choir is to spread the Gospel of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ through song; be an encouragement to believers
as they walk with Jesus Christ; lead the worship service, and offer a place where individuals can effectively use their gifts and be a vital part of the worship service. Ages 18 Plus. Prerequisite to join: Must complete New Members’ Orientation.

• YOUNG ADULT CHOIR
The mission of the Young Adult Choir is to create a Christian experience that excites and inspires our young people to become committed to Christ. We encourage them to embrace their gifts, to develop a positive self- imagine, to have respect for differences, to strengthen their prayer life and relationship with the Savior, to spread the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through song within and outside the church. Ages 18-35. Prerequisite to join: Must complete New Members’ Orientation.

The mission of the Youth Choir is to nurture children’s understanding of and relationship with God and encourage and equip them to worship Him through songs. Ages 6-17. Prerequisite to join: Must complete New Members’ Orientation.

NEW MEMBERS’ ORIENTATION

New Members’ Orientation is where new converts learn our core values. They get an understanding of what we believe and why we believe it. They get to connect with other new members and are introduced to all of the ministries available to serve. New Members’ Orientation is held on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

OUR DAILY BREAD MINISTRY
"For I was hungry and your gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;
I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."
Macedonia is one of the local churches that work with Our Daily Bread Food Bank serving individuals and families in need within our parish. Our Daily Bread Food Bank is a highly successful food bank that distributes food throughout communities in Tangipahoa Parish. Distribution takes place every 2nd Wednesday of each month from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Volunteers are welcomed.

PRINT AND PUBLICATION
Print and Publication ministry creates the design and layout of all bulletins, flyers, forms and advertisements for administration and all ministries of the church. This ministry also coordinates with our website designer to keep our website current.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
JOSEPH S. HENRY SCHOLARSHIP
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church offers the Joseph S. Henry Scholarship to high school graduating seniors who meet certain criterion to promote the importance of education; to support students in their pursuit of academic excellence; and to recognize the academic accomplishments of students. Scholarships are granted on a per semester basis for a maximum of four (4) consecutive years as long as the student remains eligible and funds are available.

- Must be a member of Macedonia for one year or longer
- Must be between the ages of 18-26
- Must be a high school graduate
- Must show proof of attending a college/university or
Vocational/Technical School

WILFORD D. STEPTEAU SCHOLARSHIP ~ ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS
The Stepteau family has a desire to see our youth succeed both spiritually and academically. They also have a passion to encourage and recognize the students of Macedonia for their church involvement, hard work, focus and sacrifice given while pursuing their education. Sis. Roxie Stepteau is the administrator of this scholarship and establishes the criteria and selects recipients of this scholarship.

SISTERHOOD
The women's ministry of Macedonia supports and equips the women of God for their daily walk with Christ, family, work, etc. We seek to be a spiritual source to help women achieve growth spiritually, relationally, emotionally, and physically. We endeavor to connect with one another to build a strong since of community and support. There are many opportunities for service in this ministry. We can host luncheons, conferences, information sessions, book reviews, etc.

Our Sunday School is committed to providing ongoing Christian Education Opportunities for all ages in both formal and informal settings by providing learning through traditional Sunday School curriculum, non-traditional learning through lifelong learning sessions, workshops and more.

DEACON MINISTRY
Our Deacons are officers of the church in charge of managing the property, business, and financial affairs of the church, ministering to troubled members (e.g., hospitalized, bereavement, benevolence, nursing home, homebound, etc.), assisting with worship affairs (e.g., ordinances, devotion, etc.), and giving advice.

CULINARY MINISTRY
We provide services for special events, ministry programs, repasts, etc. The Culinary Ministry is responsible for the prep and post culinary services for events as scheduled. We serve with excellence and create an ambience of friendliness and comfort.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS
The Building and Grounds Ministry maintains indoor and outdoor facilities and land, including the grounds, the building, utilities, equipment and furnishings. This includes keeping all property and equipment in proper condition, studying the needs and making recommendations for improvements and caring for the grounds.

BROTHERHOOD
The Men's Ministry of Macedonia supports and equips the men of God by assisting them to get plugged into the Church and help them get started on a spiritual pathway. Through meetings and workshops we help men to work through the real and relevant issues of life. We endeavor to strengthen and empower men to get in, get healthy, get strong, and get going for Christ! Meeting Information: Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday @ 7:00 p.m.

BEREAVEMENT
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Funerals are scheduled through the church administrative office. Before scheduling a funeral date with the funeral home, please contact the church administrative office for Bereavement Form. When members of our church family experience the death of a loved one, we are there to support them. We assist families in planning funeral services held in our church sanctuary.

BEAUTIFICATION MINISTRY
"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do everything for the glory of God" ~ I Cor. 10:31
The Beautification will serve in decorating the church for the purpose of glorifying God and edifying Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. The Beautification Ministry will provide their expertise and offer recommendations needed to beautify other areas as needed inside our church building. The Beautification Ministry's objective is to make our church as beautiful and comfortable as possible.

USHERS
The Ushers serve during worship services to ensure everyone is seated with the ability to receive the Word of God. We help to set the atmosphere for worship by ensuring members are handled with care and respect. Those desiring to serve our team should have a kind spirit, reverence for worship, and a spirit of excellence.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School is the premiere outreach event of the year that offers the potential to reach out to children and adults in your community the way VBS can. It offers a powerful and unique opportunity for sharing Jesus Christ and positively impacting the kingdom of God.

We purpose to build Christian character and present Christ and an understanding of His love and Biblical Truths and foundations at a level Children can receive. We partner with the parents of our Church to cultivate children who will love the Lord our God, serve Jesus Christ through worship, gifts, obedience, and Godly character.
